Product Description:

WGRS4852WG communication converter is designed for remote control where need Wiegand input but far from the control center to terminal. It a good double way transmit (bi-direction) communication device for access control system. It can transfer Wiegand 26bit or Wiegand 34bit data to RS485 data, also can transfer RS485 data to Wiegand 34bit data, standard Wiegand output 26bit data in default (Wiegand 34bit and other format as optional), and standard RS485 output hex format (ASCII as optional), the standard communication protocol based on 9600,N,8,1.

Communication Instruction:
RS485 to Wiegand converter can use for transfer data from RS485 to Wiegand interface, and also transfer data from Wiegand to RS485.

RS485 cannot communication with computer software direct, so need to transfer RS485 data to other communication device such as RS232, TCP/IP, or USB converter or other transfer device. Don’t forget that the converter have default Baud rate, if you request to change to other standard, please contact sales for change firmware before exist factory.

Baud rate: 9600, Bit: 8, Parity: no, Stop bits: 1

Connect converter WG port to access controller WG input interface, usually D0 to D0,D1 to D1, GND to GND, +12V to power+12V. Most access controller support WG26bit or WG34bit, but some of them not support both, so in case there have other WG format, please try to check out exact Wiegand bit format and response to our sales engineer for make special upgrade.

WG34bit support max 32 digit data, that is to say 4 byte hex 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF (Decimal number 4,294,967,295), so our converter WG output data range must in 0 to 4,294,967,295, over this range there have mistake to show.
